Nigel Clarke and Michael Csanyi-Wills have worked with orchestras of the highest quality both nationally and internationally. Since joining forces, these classically trained composers from the Royal Academy of Music have written film scores that include Warner Brother’s films 'The Little Vampire', 'The Little Polar Bear' and most recently “The Thief Lord”. Nigel & Michael have also worked on more drama orientated films such as 'Jinnah' starring Christopher Lee and James Fox, and 'The Rocket Post' which was awarded the Festival Grand Prize at The Stony Brook Film Festival in New York and was released in November 2006. Aside from their large orchestral scores Nigel & Michael also work with far more contemporary, programmed-based scores and have used them to great effect recently in a series of collaborations with young filmmakers, namely the film 'Withdrawal', which won the NFB's Online Cannes Special 2007.
They were nominated as 'Newcomers of the Year 2001' for their score to 'The Little Vampire' at the Movie Music U.K. Awards, also for Best Music for an Animation for 'The LittlePolar Bear' in 2003 and as 'Discovery of the year' 2006 at the World Soundtrack Awards, for their score to 'The Thief Lord'.
